They make our planning a breeze and let us travel within our budget. Hope you find them helpful too.
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Hotels
Hotels Combined: We love using this site because it generates quotes from all major and not-so-known hotel booking site so you know you are paying the cheapest price!
Air
Google Flights: I always always always start my airfare search here. Love the interactive map feature where you can check out where you can go, and for how much. Perfect when you don’t know where you want to go, but know where you are flying out of and your budget!
Secret Flying: I have Twitter updates notification from this account. And this account only. You will be the first to know when there are error fares or dirt cheap flights. I am warning you. It’s dangerous. You will get the impulse to book a flight at least once a day. 🙂
Tours
Viator: We list all of our favorite tours on our website, but Viator is THE place to look for and book tours all over the world.
Itinerary Planner
We love having the Google Trips app on the phone. It automatically generates an itinerary on any trip you get confirmations for in your Gmail. It’s so easy – and it gives you suggestions on what to do in the destination! The activities aren’t kid specific yet – thank goodness, because that will put family travel websites like us out of business. :)[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Blogging and Website Resources” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:68px|text_align:left|color:%231d1c24″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”font_weight_700″][vc_column_text]Do you travel a lot with your family and thinking about starting a website? We started this website as our (very expensive) memory book, and it still is one big keepsake that we hope to have around for a long time! It doesn’t have to be expensive though… We learned the hard way and kept spending money on things we didn’t need to invest in. Check out these products and resources so you don’t have to spend a lot to start your own fun project! Who knows what it will turn into? :)[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Website Host
If you ever want any customizations to your website to do what you want. Self-hosted on WordPress.com website is the way to go. I’ve used both SiteGround and BlueHost, and I can’t recommend BlueHost enough. Their support is quick, kind, and easy to understand. Their pricing is definitely one of the best too!
Website Theme, Design, and Help
We tried UpWork and finding someone to design our website. We tried Squarespace because it was so easy. Nothing beats paying someone less than $300 to just install and jump-start the theme and website for you. Their help is sooo helpful. The $300 includes 24/7 website development support for an entire month! MOJO Marketplace was the best decision and I wish I went to them first instead of paying so much for web development. They are one of the service providers for BlueHost, so once you sign up for BlueHost, you can select them easily.
Blogging Course
I owe everything I know about how to start a blog and blogging in general to this course – The 30 Day Blog Fast Track Course. They lay out basically every step of the way how to start a blog, and earn money. It’s not an easy solution. It’s a lot of work! I haven’t completed all the days, but your course is reviewable for 2 years so you can go at your own pace.
Keyword Search for SEO
Once you get your blog launched and you have some posts, you should start learning about keyword optimization right away. I realized this after written about 30 posts, and I am slowly going back and fixing each post. Keysearch is the best tool out there to figure out which keywords to use for your posts! There are so many tricks you can use with this tool (YouTube is your best friend in learning – and it’s free). Use code: KSDISC for 20% off![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
